Cieren Fallon fails to overturn Royal Ascot ban despite support from fellow rider James Doyle
Jockey Cieren Fallon, 27, failed to overturn a three-day suspension issued at Royal Ascot after a disciplinary panel dismissed his appeal following a two-and-a-half-hour hearing on Monday. Fallon had been found guilty of careless riding aboard Ranga Tang in the Queen's Vase, where he moved across the field and forced fellow jockey James Doyle on Point Of Law to take a pull after running out of room. Despite Doyle initially testifying that pressure came from outside and later supporting Fallon at the hearing, the British Horseracing Authority's panel was not persuaded to overturn the original ruling.
