
Classic-winning jockey Tony Ives dies in Thailand after lengthy health battle
Retired British jockey Tony Ives has died in Thailand at the age of 71 following a lengthy health battle. During his career, Ives rode over 1,000 winners in Britain, including a notable victory in the 1985 Arlington Million aboard Teleprompter. He was also the regular jockey for Provideo, a record-breaking two-year-old horse.
