Saltburn Cricket Club has banned player Brian Devine following the 'Clicky Ponting' cheating scandal, in which he was accused of clicking his fingers to mimic the sound of a ball hitting a bat in order to deceive umpires into giving batters out. The club confirmed the ban after Devine was reportedly 'knocked sideways' by the public outrage that followed the incident coming to light. Saltburn CC broke their silence to confirm disciplinary action had been taken against the player.
