Defending French Open champion Coco Gauff was eliminated in the third round at Roland-Garros, beaten 4-6, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 by 28th seed Anastasia Potapova. World No. 4 Gauff took the opening set but was unable to contain Potapova's aggressive baseline hitting, allowing the Russian to win the next two sets and claim victory. Elsewhere in the tournament, Aryna Sabalenka and Naomi Osaka both progressed with wins.
