Colby Covington, 38, has informed the UFC of his retirement from MMA after compiling a 17-5 professional record as a three-time title challenger. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show on May 27, 2026, Covington said he is transitioning back to his wrestling roots, having already competed twice in 2026 for Real American Freestyle (RAF) with a third match against Chris Weidman scheduled for May 30.
