Colorado judge issues clarification to class-wide injunction for NCAA eligibility

U.S. District Court of Colorado Judge Charlotte Sweeney issued an injunction against the NCAA on July 31, granting all class of 2022 athletes a fifth year of eligibility. On August 2, she added a clarification stating that this eligibility extension does not override existing transfer rules, roster limits, or revenue-sharing totals. This means athletes cannot join a team if its roster is already full, and programs cannot exceed revenue-sharing caps to accommodate these players.
