Commercial Innovation Ahead of the Pack as Formula 1 Trims Carbon Footprint by 35%
Formula 1 has achieved a 35% reduction in its absolute carbon footprint compared to its 2018 benchmark, keeping the sport on track for its Net Zero 2030 target. The reductions have been driven by supply chain procurement, technological innovations, calendar rationalisation, and investment in sustainable fuels. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali credited the achievement to collective effort across the sport, noting the footprint has shrunk even as the sport continues to grow and reach new audiences.
