Day four of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow saw athletics competition begin, with Wales' Jeremiah Azu clocking 10.10 seconds in the men's 100m heats. In weightlifting, Nigeria's Edidiong Umofia led the men's 71kg snatch section with a lift of 147kg, while England's Jonathan Chin, a full-time doctor working 50-70 hour weeks, also competed in the final.
