Commonwealth Games: Kate O'Connor headlines six-strong NI athletics team
Kate O'Connor, a 25-year-old heptathlete and world outdoor silver medallist, has been named in Northern Ireland's six-strong athletics team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. O'Connor, who won silver at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo and silver at the last Commonwealth Games in Birmingham four years ago, is set to compete in her third Commonwealth Games. She has also competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics and claimed four medals in 2025, including a gold.
