Commonwealth Games: Kate O'Connor headlines six-strong NI athletics team

Kate O'Connor, a 25-year-old heptathlete and world outdoor silver medallist, has been named in Northern Ireland's six-strong athletics team for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. O'Connor, who won silver at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo and at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games four years ago, is competing in her third Commonwealth Games. She has also represented Northern Ireland at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won four medals in 2025.
