Commonwealth Games Track Cycling: Why Wales Is One to Watch at Glasgow 2026

Wales will compete in track cycling at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, running from 23 July to 2 August, with 26 medal events held across four days at the velodrome. At the previous Birmingham 2022 Games, cycling was Wales's top medal-contributing sport, with Team Wales earning seven cycling medals including gold for James Ball and Matt Rotherham in the men's Tandem B Sprint. Geraint Thomas also claimed bronze in the men's road Individual Time Trial, as Wales finished with 28 total medals.
