Concacaf welcomes FIFA U-turn over WC proposal

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed on Saturday that FIFA is withdrawing its proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) initiative, which would have created a new commercial entity for FIFA competitions and opened the door to private equity investment. The proposal faced widespread opposition from football stakeholders across the game.
