Conference Carolinas announces the addition of women's triathlon

Conference Carolinas announced it will add women's triathlon starting in the fall of 2026, making it the first NCAA conference to sponsor the sport, which will become the conference's 31st sponsored sport. The inaugural season in 2026-27 will feature seven institutions, including existing members Barton College, Emmanuel University, and King University, joined by four associate members: Concord University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Newberry College, and Wingate University. Women's triathlon is part of the NCAA's emerging sports for women's program.
