Connor McDavid survived an injury scare. Now comes the bigger question
Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid suffered an ankle injury scare during Game 2 of the first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday, after his right ankle was awkwardly yanked in a collision with teammate Mattias Ekholm. McDavid left the ice for approximately six minutes to consult with medical staff but returned to play, despite visible discomfort. The Oilers lost Game 2 by a score of 6-4, with McDavid remaining scoreless through both games of the series so far.
