Conor Benn to fight Ryan Garcia for welterweight world title in September

Ryan Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) will defend his WBC welterweight world title against Conor Benn (25-1, 14 KOs) on September 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as announced by Turki Al-Sheikh on Wednesday. Garcia won the WBC welterweight title in February with a points victory over Mario Barrios, while Benn, 29, most recently competed at a 150lb catchweight against Regis Prograis in April after going up to middleweight for two fights against Chris Eubank Jr in 2025. Benn last fought at the welterweight limit in February 2024.
