Cooper of Lightning wins Jack Adams Award as top NHL coach
Jon Cooper of the Tampa Bay Lightning has won the 2025-26 Jack Adams Award as the NHL's top coach, as voted by the NHL Broadcasters' Association. Cooper guided Tampa Bay to a 50-26-6 record and their ninth consecutive playoff berth, earning 226 voting points with 36 first-place votes. He narrowly defeated Lindy Ruff of the Buffalo Sabres (223 points) and Dan Muse of the Pittsburgh Penguins (199 points) in the closest three-way race since balloting results were first published in 1983-84.
