Correa needs ankle surgery, will miss rest of season
Houston Astros third baseman Carlos Correa will miss the remainder of the 2026 MLB season after requiring ankle surgery. Correa felt a pop in his ankle while taking a swing in the batting cage prior to Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, and arrived at Daikin Park on Wednesday using crutches to deliver the news. The injury adds to a mounting list of Astros players on the injured list, which already includes Jeremy Peña, Yainer Diaz, Jake Meyers, Joey Loperfido, Hunter Brown, Tatsuya Imai, Cristian Javier, and Josh Hader.
