Craig named coach of Golden Knights, replaces Tortorella
Ryan Craig, 44, has been named head coach of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights, replacing John Tortorella who was announced as departing on Tuesday. Craig spent the past three seasons as coach of the AHL affiliate Henderson Silver Knights, having previously served six seasons as a Golden Knights assistant, including during their 2023 Stanley Cup championship. Tortorella had joined Vegas in March, guiding the team to a 7-0-1 record to close the regular season before the Golden Knights lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in six games in the Stanley Cup Final.
