Cricket pitches damaged in 'joyriding' incident

St Austell Cricket Club in Cornwall reported that two of its pitches suffered significant damage on Friday evening at around 18:00 BST when a silver Fiat Punto drove onto the grounds and was subsequently abandoned. Devon and Cornwall Police described the incident as 'suspected joyriding' and confirmed an investigation is ongoing. The club called it an 'extremely serious incident' and stated it would not tolerate such reckless behaviour.
