Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United LIVE: Mateta starts as Sage aims for much-needed victory against Magpies

Crystal Palace host Newcastle United in a Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on October 25, 2026, with Palace manager Pierre Sage under pressure after a 0-5 defeat to Brighton last week left them 16th in the table, followed by a 2-2 Europa League draw with Besiktas. Newcastle, sitting 14th and one point above Palace, arrive having lost 0-1 to Aston Villa and suffered a 1-4 defeat to Coventry in recent weeks. Jean-Philippe Mateta starts for Palace after scoring on his return from injury, while Newcastle's Matthias Jaissle faces a tough task given his side have won just once in their last ten visits to Selhurst Park.
