Cumbria hosting 2027 Tour de France a 'once-in-a-lifetime' thrill
The 2027 Tour de France will pass through Cumbria, England, with the opening stage of the men's race finishing in Carlisle on 2 July and the second stage starting in Keswick the following day, passing several Lake District landmarks. Thousands of spectators are expected to line the routes, according to Cumberland Council leader Mark Fryer. This will mark the fifth time the UK has partly hosted the men's Tour de France, following previous stagings in 1974, 1994, 2007, and 2014.
