Cumbria Tour de France stages will have 'overridingly positive' impact
The Tour de France will visit Cumbria for the first time in 2027, with Stage 1 of the men's race finishing in Carlisle on 2 July and Stage 2 starting in Keswick the following day. It will be the fifth time the UK has partly hosted the men's event, following previous stagings in 1974, 1994, 2007, and 2014. British Cycling chief executive Jon Dutton is working with local authorities to address potholes on the race route and parking concerns for residents.
