Cumbrian athlete wins bronze at UK Athletics Championships

Cumbrian athlete Tara Simpson-Sullivan won a bronze medal in the women's hammer event at the 2026 Novuna UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham. The 25-year-old, competing for Wigan & District Harriers and Athletics Club, sealed her podium finish with a best throw of 63.90m on her final attempt. Simpson-Sullivan, originally from Lowther, finished third in the competition.
