Cumbrian cricketer, 61, calls England Lions call-up 'dream come true'

Paul McKeown, a 61-year-old medium pace bowler and batsman from Workington Cricket Club, has been selected to represent the England under-60s Lions team. McKeown, who has played at Workington Cricket Club for around 50 years and has captained Cumbria's over-50s team, impressed England selectors during matches last summer and attended a selection trial at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough University in March. He described the call-up as a 'dream come true', crediting his late father George for introducing him to the sport.
