Cyrena Samba-Mayela: French hurdler given temporary suspension for whereabouts breach

French hurdler Cyrena Samba-Mayela, 25, who won silver in the 100m hurdles at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, has been given a temporary suspension by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for failing to disclose her whereabouts to anti-doping officials. The suspension was imposed on September 18 and confirmed by the AIU on Friday, and could result in a two-year ban. Samba-Mayela had previously withdrawn from the European Championships in August due to injury.
