Dach signs 1-year, $3.6 million contract with Canadiens

Kirby Dach, a 25-year-old forward, has signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Montreal Canadiens, avoiding an arbitration hearing after filing on July 5. Last season, the restricted free agent recorded 15 points (8 goals, 7 assists) in 37 regular-season games and 5 points in 19 playoff games. Dach, a former No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, has been limited to just 96 games over three seasons with Montreal due to injuries.
