Dad completes London Marathon in honour of daughter

Rich Watton, 36, from Banbury, completed his first marathon at the 46th London Marathon on April 26, 2026, in honour of his two-year-old daughter Verity, who was born with congenital heart disease and had lifesaving surgery at 10 months old. Watton finished the 26.2-mile race in five hours and 20 minutes, running in support of the British Heart Foundation. He raised almost £5,000 for the charity through his participation.
