Dahlin, Makar, Werenski named Norris Trophy finalists

Rasmus Dahlin (Buffalo Sabres), Cale Makar (Colorado Avalanche), and Zach Werenski (Columbus Blue Jackets) were named finalists for the Norris Trophy on May 7, 2026, awarded annually to the NHL's best defenseman by the Professional Hockey Writers Association. Dahlin posted a career-high 74 points in 77 games and helped lead Buffalo to a 50-23-9 record and 109 points, their best marks since 2006-07, along with their first division title since 2009-10 and first playoff berth since 2010-11. The Norris Trophy winner will be announced at a later date.
