Dan Evans’ tennis career will end at Wimbledon, but he is the opposite of retiring
British tennis player Dan Evans, 36, who reached a career-high ranking of world No. 21 in 2023, has announced he will retire after this year's grass-court season, with Wimbledon serving as his final tournament. Evans has barely played in 10 months due to injury and recently lost to the world No. 1447 in French Open qualifying. The All England Club awarded him a doubles wild card for Wimbledon, though he did not receive a singles wild card, and Evans publicly criticized the LTA for not giving him a wild card to Queen's.
