'Dark times' a thing of the past for Scotland hopeful Robbie Smith

Northampton Saints hooker Robbie Smith, 27, earned his first two Scotland caps in June/July 2024 against Canada and the USA, but suffered a serious knee injury shortly after that kept him sidelined for a year. The Dumfries-born player has returned strongly this season, playing 21 games, and is hoping a strong finish with Saints in the Gallagher Premiership could earn him a place in Scotland's Nations Championship squad this summer, which includes matches against Argentina, South Africa, and Fiji.
