David Benavidez looks to finally become the 'face of boxing'
David Benavidez (31-0, 25 KOs), a 29-year-old two-time world champion nicknamed the 'Mexican Monster' by Mike Tyson, will face WBA and WBC cruiserweight champion Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez (48-1, 30 KOs) on Saturday, May 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, broadcast on PBC Pay-Per-View on Prime Video. Benavidez prepared for the fight with high-altitude training on Mount Charleston, Nevada's highest peak at nearly 12,000 feet. The bout is considered the biggest fight of Benavidez's career as he seeks to establish himself as the face of boxing.
