Davies in 'best ever' Canada squad for World Cup

Canada head coach Jesse Marsch has named a 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup, which he describes as the best Canada has ever assembled. Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies, 25, is included despite recovering from a hamstring injury, alongside Juventus forward Jonathan David. Other notable inclusions are Porto midfielder Stephen Eustaquio, Villarreal's Tajon Buchanan and Tani Oluwaseyi, and Southampton forward Cyle Larin.
