Defeat ends Djokovic's hopes of making ATP Finals

Novak Djokovic has been eliminated from contention for the ATP Finals in Turin after losing in the second round of the Paris Masters to qualifier Rinky Hijikata. The defeat ends any remaining chance Djokovic had of accumulating enough ranking points to qualify for the season-ending tournament. Hijikata, who entered the draw as a qualifier, caused a notable upset by defeating the former world number one.
