Deion Sanders: Comment about silencing critics with money was a joke

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders clarified on Tuesday that a comment made by someone close to him, suggesting he was willing to pay $50,000 to silence his critics, was intended as a joke and not a serious statement. Sanders addressed the controversy publicly, distancing himself from the remarks. No actual payment or formal action was involved in the situation.
