DeMeco Ryans rips ‘ridiculous’ penalty woes that keep costing Texans games

Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans expressed strong frustration over his team's persistent penalty problems following a 27-21 overtime loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. The defeat continued a troubling pattern of self-inflicted mistakes costing the Texans games during the 2026 season. Ryans, now in his fourth season as head coach, has previously led the Texans to three consecutive playoff appearances but the team is struggling to shake off a poor stretch of form.
