Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard withdraws from Tour de France after fall

Jonas Vingegaard, the 29-year-old Danish two-time Tour de France champion (2022, 2023), withdrew from the 2026 Tour de France on Sunday after crashing on a roundabout approximately 20km from the finish of Stage 15 at the Plateau de Solaison. Vingegaard, who was sitting second overall at the time, was seen entering an ambulance with his right arm in a sling and in visible pain. Yellow jersey leader Tadej Pogacar avoided the crash, while Mexican rider Isaac del Toro, also involved, was able to continue racing.
