Deontay Wilder accepts offer to fight former champion on Fury vs Joshua card

Deontay Wilder has reportedly accepted an offer to fight former two-time world champion Jai Opetaia on the undercard of Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua, scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. Wilder, 40, most recently defeated Derek Chisora via split decision in April, while Opetaia is coming off a ninth-round stoppage of Noel Mikaelian. The fight would see Opetaia move up from cruiserweight to heavyweight to face Wilder, though the Bronze Bomber is also reportedly considering a bout against a WBA 'regular' champion.
