Dodgers get OF Alek Thomas for prospect in trade with D-backs

The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired outfielder Alek Thomas from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Minor League outfielder Jose Requena. Thomas, 26, was designated for assignment by Arizona on Friday after the team called up top prospect Ryan Waldschmidt, and hit .181 with two home runs and four steals in 28 games this season. The Dodgers designated outfielder Michael Siani for assignment in a corresponding roster move.
