Don Rea Jr. out as PGA of America president

Don Rea Jr. has been suspended for the remainder of his term as PGA of America president, which concludes in November, following scrutiny stemming from the 2024 Ryder Cup. Criticism included his failure to apologize for unruly American fan behavior toward Rory McIlroy and European players, an awkward trophy presentation, and a viral karaoke video filmed while the U.S. team was losing. PGA of America VP Nathan Charnes has been elevated to Acting President effective immediately, with Secretary Eric Eshleman also promoted to VP.
