Dubois destroys Wardley in brutal 2nd-round TKO to retain WBO title

Daniel Dubois defeated Fabio Wardley for the second time in five months on Saturday in London, retaining his WBO heavyweight title with a brutal Round 2 TKO stoppage. Dubois (24-3, 23 KOs) dropped Wardley with a right hand in Round 1 and had him in serious trouble before the bell, with Wardley's coach Ben Davison reportedly ready to throw in the towel. Wardley (20-2-1, 19 KOs) could not withstand Dubois's relentless pressure and the fight was stopped in the second round.
