Ducks land in CFP rankings despite rocky season

Oregon's football team, despite a rocky season with a 5-3 overall record and 3-2 mark in Big Ten play, earned a spot in the first College Football Playoff rankings released on November 5, 2026. A win over Northwestern helped the Ducks secure their ranking, though they currently sit on the outside of the 12-team playoff field. Oregon's season has not gone as expected, but the CFP ranking keeps their postseason hopes alive.
