Dürksen completes first Formula 1 test with Mercedes

Mercedes development driver Joshua Dürksen completed a two-day Formula 1 test at Portimão, Portugal, covering 187 laps (approximately 544 miles) in the team's 2025 W16 car. The 22-year-old Paraguayan became the first person from his country to drive a modern F1 car. Dürksen, who joined Mercedes' development program earlier this year while competing in Formula 2, received praise from deputy team principal Bradley Lord for his maturity and professionalism throughout the test.
