Eastbourne Open tennis to go ahead despite 'mindless' vandalism

The Lexus Eastbourne Open tennis tournament will proceed as planned despite vandalism discovered at Devonshire Park on Friday morning, where several courts sustained extensive damage. The Lawn Tennis Association confirmed on Saturday that there will be 'no impact' on the event, which is scheduled to begin on 20 June. Eastbourne Borough Council is working with Sussex Police and reviewing CCTV footage to investigate what its leader called an 'outrageous act of mindless vandalism.'
