Edd Straw of The Race published his driver rankings for the 2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal, rating all 22 drivers who competed in the cold-weather affected race. George Russell topped the rankings despite a race retirement due to a power unit failure, having secured sprint pole, sprint victory, and pole position before his exit. His Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli showed hints of superior underlying pace at times but Russell was judged to have had the edge overall while both cars remained in the race.
