Eddie Hearn plots radical rugby union takeover

Eddie Hearn, chairman of Matchroom Sport, is considering a major move into rugby union after signing England back row Henry Pollock as the agency's first rugby client, with Pollock's new multi-year Northampton Saints deal reported to be worth over £400,000 per year. Hearn has scheduled meetings with Prem Rugby within two weeks to discuss a potential commercial overhaul of the sport. He stated that rugby is not held in high commercial regard by major broadcasters and believes he knows what needs to be done to transform its commercial landscape.
