Edinburgh’s EICC to welcome world’s cycling elite in 2027 for first ever Tour de France start in Scotland - The NEN

The Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has been selected to serve as the race headquarters and official international press centre for the Tour de France 2027 Grand Départ, marking the first time in the race's history that it will start in Scotland. The Grand Départ will begin in Edinburgh on 2 July 2027, covering 184km to Carlisle, with a team presentation scheduled at Edinburgh Castle on 30 June 2027. The EICC was chosen for its operational expertise and technical infrastructure, and is working alongside the Grand Départ GB team and Edinburgh City Council to deliver the event.
