The Edmonton Oilers fired head coach Kris Knoblauch on Thursday following a disappointing 2025-26 season, with assistant coach Mark Stuart also let go. Knoblauch, 47, had been hired in November 2023 to replace Jay Woodcroft and led Edmonton to consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearances before the team suffered a first-round exit in the spring.
