Eighth place for Ferrand-Prévot after tough finale in Tour de France Femmes opener

In the opening stage of the Tour de France Femmes on August 1, held on Swiss soil, Team Visma | Lease a Bike Women's Pauline Ferrand-Prévot finished eighth after a tough finale at the top of the Côte Saint-François. Lorena Wiebes proved strongest in the sprint, winning the stage, while both Ferrand-Prévot and Marianne Vos remained competitive deep into the final climb before being overtaken.
