Elise Thorner storms to big steeplechase PB in Los Angeles

British runner Elise Thorner, 25, clocked 9:07.39 in the 3000m steeplechase to win the Sound Running Track Festival in Los Angeles by 14 seconds, smashing her personal best by seven seconds. Her time places her second on the UK all-time list, behind only Lizzie Bird's British record of 9:04.35. Also at the same meet, Josh Kerr ran a 800m PB of 1:44.60, breaking 1:45.00 for the first time, finishing just ahead of fellow Scot Jake Wightman (1:44.74), with American Brandon Miller winning in 1:44.26.
