Elliott, Bell crash hard in final stage battling for second at Michigan
Chase Elliott and Christopher Bell were involved in a violent crash on Lap 148 of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway while racing side-by-side for second place. Elliott lost control of his No. 9 Chevrolet and made contact with Bell's No. 20 Toyota, sending both cars into the wall at nearly 200 mph and igniting flames on Bell's vehicle. Both drivers were evaluated and released from the infield care center, with Elliott accepting full blame for the incident.
